Butterfly-pea flower tea commonly known as Blue tea is found throughout South East Asia. The bright blue petals from the flowers have been used as an ingredient in herbal tea drinks throughout the region for centuries as well as used in cooking. Butterfly Pea Flower tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea. Herbal tea, compared to regular tea (green tea, black tea, etc.) that is brewed from the leaves of a plant, are made from dried fruits, fruits, spices, and/or herbs. In the case of Butterfly Pea Flower tea, it is made from the soaking of the flower petals or entire flower from the clitoria ternatea plant.
